Move. Sense. Grow—Every Day at 8pm (AEST)

Welcome to MySelf.study, where movement becomes a doorway to understanding your ever evolving Self. I’m Dale Dickins, a movement therapist with a very solid Feldenkrais background, and every evening at 8pm (AEST), I’ll guide you through a Bring-Awareness-to-Movement lesson drawn from the 550 Alexander Yanai lessons—the foundational manuals of the Feldenkrais training program. These lessons, shared by practitioners worldwide, are a treasure trove of insight, and here, I’m unraveling them for YOU.

My mission? To demystify this remarkable method and reveal the secrets that make it so powerful for people of all ages. Through videos, images, links, tips, prompts, and a wealth of resources, I’m breaking down each lesson to make it accessible, practical, and alive. This isn’t just about moving—it’s about discovering how your skeletal and nervous systems weave together to anchor you through life’s twists and turns. Take what you learn into YOUR favourite hobbies, sports and practices

What’s Here for You

  • Daily Lessons at 8pm (AEST): A fresh exploration from the classic Alexander Yanai series, reimagined for today.

  • A Clear Path: I’ll decode the “how” behind these movements, so you can feel their impact in your own body in every day movements.

  • Tools to Dive In: Videos, resources, and prompts to bring the lessons off the page and into your life.

This space is for anyBODY—yoga teachers, Pilates enthusiasts, movement educators, or simply anyone fascinated by how we glide, shift, and spiral through space. Whether you’re seeking ease, resilience, or a deeper connection to yourself, these lessons offer a scaffolding to grow through movement.

The Feldenkrais Method is much more than “just” a practice—it’s a lens to enrich how you move, feel, and live. Whatever sparks your passion—tai chi, soccer, cricket, football, baseball, fishing, golfing, yoga, Pilates, meditation, sewing, knitting, playing with the children (at ANY age), and anything in between. These lessons are a quiet ally, to sharpen your awareness, soften your stride, and deepen your breath in the activities that light you up.

Take a soccer kick, a golf swing, or a meditative pause—Feldenkrais helps you tune into your skeleton and nervous system, making every motion smoother, smarter, and more yours. This is your invitation to blend these explorations into your world, wherever movement takes you. How will you weave it in?
