The titles of these lessons really don’t leave much to the imagination, those who have done many of these Awareness Through Movement lessons might be able to guess what we’ll be doing for this one. Makes me curious though, what is conjured up in the minds of people who are visiting these lessons for the first time??

We spend so much time in flexion nowadays, sitting, looking at phones, shoulders hunched over, flat bums… “tuck in your tailbone” “hold your core” “pull your stomach in” “look up”. Fitness trends repeated over and over to make us think we’re bad and wrong if we do otherwise. Surely there is a cost to constantly holding ourselves upright, and I think that cost shows in the number of cases for chronic fatigue growing around the world - in Western cultures at least.
