Today I started calling Feldenkrais practitioners around Australia to let them know about the almost-ready-to-begin-the marathon daily 8pm lessons, and I had some envigorating conversations. There are around 250 practitioners sprinkled around the Australian continent and this is the second time I’ve connected with (most of) them by phone.

Four years ago I called all 242 people and either spoke with them personally, or left a message for them to call me back if they were interested in an Advanced training. Little did I know of the controversy that ensued. That experience confirmed the suspicion I had about the inner workings of Australia’s Feldenkrais Guild, the president of which responded shortly after with a cautionary email notifying all same practitioners “that training is not an advanced training and will not be recognised by the Guild”.

Politics, they’re everywhere.
