This lesson could be called one of the basics, and it’s a great taster for the way in which Feldenkrais differs from the rest. The instructions are very specific which some people find annoying, especially those who HATE being told what to do!

What generally happens (there are always exceptions to the rule) in a Feldenkrais lesson is that we are invited to do something of a ‘test’ movement at the beginning. Then, we explore a wide range of “what-was-he-thinking??” novel variations for 30 or so minutes and return to that original movement to experience whether (or not) that particular movement has become any easier.
