Awareness Through Movement Lesson #26

AAARRRGGHHH… my error. I was in scheduling mode and automatically scheduled this for 8pm rather than the usual “sometime” during the day to give you the zoom link.

My apologies. I was in a bit of a weird headspace after leaving my phone on a train on last Friday night. Knowing I’d left it open without any unlocking required for somebody to access my online life was quite stressful. And a blessing in that I recognised that state of being was VERY familiar…. I grew up with my nervous system wired for disaster.

The experience was a gift, one whole weekend without a phone gave me a brief window to recognise and shift that anxious, frustrated and nervous way of being that reminded me of my childhood. Flashbacks, memories and old body patterns kept creeping in and I was able to be the observer which was really satisfying.

Still, this morning I was very keen to get to the lost and found department at Flinders Street Station this morning and find out if anybody had handed it in - which they had :)

I thought I was being super organised by scheduling today and tomorrow’s zoom links, left the apartment feeling satisfied I’d prepared myself for the evening as I closed the door behind me. Come 7:45pm I opened the zoom room this evening and nobody was there… I thought, OK, I’ll read the lesson as a recording anyway… then Megan arrived, a few minutes later Nick popped in… and at the end he let me know that the zoom link arrived at 8:15pm!!

Bugger.

a lonely cell phone ringing on the train.. speech bubble "hello", clock in the background stuck at 8pm… gives this image!
