There’s something about rolling that can be really comforting, this lesson makes the experience also informative… through the process of differentiation.
It’s something I mention during the lesson, in a way we separate the links of our body’s chains, polish them up a bit, remove the rust, and them bring them together.
We’ve explored variations and variables, there are quite a few in today’s lesson which could, might, possibly give you a stronger sense of how Moshe thought these lessons through… and how Feldenkrais differs from the rest.
Many keep doing the same movements over and over and over again expecting the muscles to get longer (even though they’re pulled to their extreme), or bigger, or better over time, on a linear plane. Moshe dissected movements to figure out how all the pieces of the puzzle called a human body could be put back together for the most efficient function, non linearly.
I think this is why some people really struggle with the approach, and, provides insight into those who are drawn to this way of approaching life!
