Awareness Through Movement lesson number ONE HUNDRED!!

wooooohoooo, 3 months later and we’ve completed two manuals already.
Vita, after our discussion today, I think this one might be best done in your imagination.

Rather than talk about the lesson, well, not at the beginning any way… let’s start by
bringing the attention to the most important aspect of this experiment - YOU,

with some questions. As is with the pauses in between each movement, it is important to acknowledge any shifts and changes you might be noticing are happening from within. Verbalise, write or dance some of the answers to these questions, and by all means, add your own!

What have you learned about your Self in this laboratory?
How has doing these lessons altered how you “think” your body?
Where are you noticing changes?

Where, how, when are you applying what you’ve learned?

How has a daily-ish discipline changed how you move, if at all?

And, are you starting to think through the ways you move when you address daily tasks? Getting out of bed, does your head leave the pillow first or last? When you bend to pick something up can you feel the shoulder blades slide to lengthen your arms as you ‘reach’ for that thing? What other quirky movements, patterns or changes are you now aware of that you were perhaps blind to before?
