It’s amazing… I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to, done, or read these lessons repeating the same sentences each time… to then experience a sensation of having my ears cleaned out when I get down on the floor and do what is being asked of me… “oh, he said WIDE”… and how that made all the difference.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking with Vita who shared some feedback on doing the first lesson.. and how she too remembered one of the basics that is repeated often, to go slowly with really small movements. YES! This is one of the keys to Feldenkrais. It’s so important to be AWARE OF the movement, that moment when the movement starts.. there’s magic in that moment. I remember being fascinated with an inner dialogue that still keeps me fascinated… is it the mind telling the body to move, or is the body moving and then the mind catches up?? Whatever, it’s the preparation, that moment of preparation to begin the movement that matters. It’s that moment that sets the trajectory, prepares the rest to move, from where am I initiating the movement and when do I begin??
