This is what I wrote after last night’s lesson with Megan:
How much more can be done with rolling the head between the hands?? With some imagination and exploration - A LOT!!
Megan hinted at some angles we’ll be playing with tonight, so that we can organise our heads to be in a comfortable position. There are MANY angles the head can sit on the neck, the shoulders, ribs, pelvis and feet. One slight change in angle along this chain affects the position of the head, and our habitual “choices”, or default positions may not necessarily be the most efficient one.
How can the position of the head affect our efficiency as humans BEing?
Let’s find out!
And then I woke this morning with an unusual sensation of my head being the top of a carrot and the body of the carrot buried in my chest, the tip planted near T12, the lowest rib. I thought of the roots as nerves as I began to roll my imaginary carrot horizontally to feel the sensation of the roots moving through my whole body… something like a kinetic chain of events.
A big smile crept up on my face - this is tonight’s lesson!!!
The first thing I did when I got up was write down some notes to best ‘describe’ the experience and today I’ve been figuring out how to communicate the lesson.
Tonight the experiment comes to life :)
