For tonight’s lesson… if you recall, earlier this year Marianne broke her wrist after falling in the snow, her recovery has been an adventure I’ve had the pleasure of her sharing little bits with me. Avidly passionate for the human body, Marianne has taken the recovery of her arms and hands… receiving, giving, their various ways of communicating, and expressing ourselves in many, many different ways. The experience of being injured seems to have expanded her personal space to involve people “helping” her maintain her independent living style. Her awareness seems to have expanded to include others in the journey, sharing insights in a really raw and vulnerable way that have me look for myself how living independently can be both a blessing and a hindrance.
I’m not really surprised she chose this lesson to read to us, elbows and knees, those similar joints that combine our “members” (as Moshe calls them) and have us…
