You’ll get to hear Marianne’s quirky Canadian voice guide you through this lesson, she’s somebody who has worked through these manuals many times over the years. She’s a wealth of information… if you have any questions at all about what the intention of this lesson is, how it connects your skeletal system, add a comment at the end and she’ll happily… at least… think about answering!!

See how deep the thighs go into the belly? Next time you have a roast chicken feel how the thighs are connected into the torso.

Ever since the thought came to me that my legs are like my arms in structure, they’re so similar… I’ve had this fascination of being able to move legs like I do my arms and it seems to be opening that join(t) at the pelvis. I love lessons like these that give my arms and legs a chance to do their bit will pulling and lengthening. I found that the more I involve my torso, thinking of my thighs like chicken drumsticks coming all the way up to my waist…. then the whole experience of the movement changes. It’s like my legs reclaim their power to move me around by pushing through the torso while I’m on the floor. Normally I give that job to my arms, and they seem relieved to be able to do other things instead.

Whichever way you choose to think yourself, I invite you to continue being flexible with your thoughts and be willing to shift your thinking. If only for the duration of this lesson.
