One of the most common phrases in the documents that transcribe Moshe’s lesson is “pay attention”, and now our attention is known as an economy. With the internet available to a large proportion of people on the planet now, we have access to information literally at the tips of our fingers, and a lot of it is visual. Sure there are also podcasts and reading material, however video, movement, is grabbing our attention with 2-5 minute snippets of data.. on our phones, in shops, sometimes on public transport (this trend seems to be growing).
With these lessons we’ll be practicing ways to keep us present,
in the moment,
here,
NOW.
It’s a big part of the scans we do at the beginning of most lessons. By focussing our selves to where we are in space, in this environment we ‘live’ in. Some of the questions during these scans can be unusual, novel in their approach, to bring us in to the moment.. and bring us ‘back’ to the moment when the mind wanders, when the attention wavers.
