A very Feldy lesson, one that had me laugh so much half way through I had to stop. As somebody who has a tendency to hunch forward, this lesson woke a sensation of length and power through my front body (as Bonnie Bainbridge calls it).
Since having a taste of that length I’ve been training myself in sitting to let my belly hang out… against my Mother’s incessant nagging “pull your stomach in”. At first it felt so wrong, now though that I have more say in my self image I find it a much more pleasurable way to sit. I used to think of my back as flat like a piece of cardboard, now I love it when I feel the waves from the back of my head to the tailbone as I walk.
