Tonight’s lesson could sound complicated however it’s really not once you get the configuration at the beginning, then you’ll be exploring other positions of the arms in the same configuration.

In answer to the potential “yeah but why” question that might crop up during this lesson is this image of the two bones of the lower arm… and that membrane (brain?) that connects them.

meet the inter (between) osseus (bones) membrane.

These bones are designed to rotate around each other, that’s why in the lower arm one is called the radius, and here in this image you can see a similar connector in the lower leg. Our hands are very active during the day, twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, pointing, directing, feeding us, petting, loving, warning, holding…
there’s a HUGE range of movement available.

Tonight we explore ways to connect with this tissue and lengthen our arms to make more space for better quality hugging :)
