We have explored our skeletal connection in the horizontal position quite a few times. One of Moshe’s major point of differences with his theory is that lying on the ground allows our systems to more easily soften through the support of the earth beneath our ‘backs’. Through this support we are encouraged to explore and feel for connections rather than force an outcome. With the floor, we have something to feel against, or with, and monitor changes through these gentle movements along the way.
You may appreciate how feeling for these differences in standing, without a hard surface to work with, makes sensing differences a lot more challenging.
Now, 500 lessons later, Moshe invites us to explore these kinetic connections in the vertical position, through a movement done by a large proportion of people on the planet each day - walking.
With this lesson we are invited to feel in to the kinetic chain from the foot to the elbows (and beyond if you choose), through movements of the pelvis, the spine and the feet…. in a variety of positions.
As has been with the lessons thus far, please keep the movements small so that these connections can be sensed - then, if any part of the sequence causes discomfort, a small shift can be made, in the feet, the pelvis, the head, the jaw, that face contorted through concentration… to change the trajectory and introduce a different path that puts a smile on the face rather than a frown.
This post arrived in my ‘X’ thread today and I thought you might find it as interesting to read as I did… proof that we live in ONE system, all is (inter)connected, through an almost invisible network called fascia.
With that in mind (body), enjoy learning more about, with and for your Self through today’s lesson:
