Tonight we explore the power(?) that is available from really gentle movements, so that we can feel how great an improvement can be when we move slowly, rather than forcing an outcome… particularly when we’re ‘working’ with delicate areas like the shoulder girdle.

here perhaps you can see the girdle, what I call a ‘saddle’ that sits, rides atop the ribs.

Our arms tend to do so much work, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, signalling, communicating, helping us to express our selves in challenging times when words simply don’t cut the mustard. We have them turn in many different angles away and from, around, upside down, they’re quite handy things (when they feel into their full range of movement)!!

We will continue with the ongoing theme of working WITH the breath, using it to regulate our systems and let us know if and when we invest too much effort and attempt to control it, to stifle it into shallow, throaty pool rather than simply let it flow from the belly out.

We’ll be lying on the floor, there are some movements to practice through imagination as well.
