“This lovely lesson continues the novel position of lying on the ground
with one foot standing on the inner border of the other lower leg..
just below the knee (as has been the guidance in recent lessons).
Over time, I have come to appreciate how important it is
to find just the right location for the standing foot…
the heel placed in the concavity of the inner(medial) border
of the upper aspect of the tibiaand directing the push of the heel
so as to glide the inner part of the upper tibia forwards
relative to the medial part of lower end of the femur (medal femoral condyle)
With quiet , focused intention,
and calm listening to tiny movements,
sensing in to how the heel directs the tibia to glide forward…
it becomes possible to feel a gliding movement between the two lower leg bones
(tibia and fibula)..
and then feel how this connection ever-so-gently rotates the thigh bone (femur)..
through the ball and socket of the hip joint - pelvis
