Another lengthening lesson, it might be an idea to compare your length at the beginning and the end to feel if there are any differences. This particular movement can be thought of as a big stretch - like a pussycat, well sort of.

It’s a blend of connecting in to the kinetic chain from the foot through the vertebrae in to the base of the skull, it creates a "body map" in the brain, which improves proprioception to give a fuller sense of embodiment.

Moshe often suggests shifting from habitual to non-habitual finger interlacing, that alone is a challenge, to intercept automatic patterns, and prompt a conscious exploration of movement choices. This one simple change can disrupt ingrained tension patterns, and invite the discovery of more efficient ways to move and ultimately,

to BE.

Tonight’s lesson is an anatomical delight, turning the pelvis and torso to enhance spinal rotation, and improve flexibility in the whole length of the spine. We are slowly (re)programming our selves with these movements clearing the pathways to move more easily and gracefully through neuromuscular coordination,

and refining our control over movement patterns.
