Tonight we explore some movements on a chair to sense into a host of different variations that could be “normal” for some people, and really odd for others. In some ways we get to sit in other peoples’ seats and feel what it’s like.
As you might come to notice through these lessons, there are many ways to do the same movement, and *some*times making a slight deviation away from our “normal” or habitual way gives our systems the chance to sync into a rhythm that opens up pathways for the nerves to flow, gives the digestive system room to move, frees up the lungs and enables their connection into the heart to flow… in short.. moving with our systems rather than forcing them in to those old familiar and often times painful habits….
…. provides choice.
Once we have had a taste of these differences they can then become options which over time become the preferred options because they feeeeeel so good… so much so that our old ways seem really really strange
!
We’ve explored shifting our awareness on different areas within and doing the same movement over and over - there will be more of that tonight, and in a very favourable position for many people who SIT for so long during the day.
These variations can give your butt a rest, when sitting for long periods of time.
