… rather than being directed by flickering thoughts stirred up through the environment we “live” in.

In this lesson we will be practicing shifting our awareness, at times narrowing it down to the little toe, and then expanding our kinaesthetic learning to include more of our Selves physically…

In a world where cultural identity often intersects with physical traits, few things are as intriguing (or as quirky) as the so-called Irish little toe, or Celtic little toe ←- click underlined text to read a non-related, yet (you might find) interesting article.

… as well as mentally.

During today’s investigation we explore how, and from where, we initiate movement. Is it driven through and from our thoughts, and/or, do we move and THEN think? Before joining the dots through this lesson,
what do you think your process is?

As I prepared the lesson I found myself
in a very heady space…
“what does it even mean if the little toe is tensed,
of all that areas he could have included…
why does Moshe have us bring awareness to the pinky??”

And then I noticed, the more I “thought” about it,
the stronger my little toe stood upright!!

These movement explorations were created to bring us closer to the present moment,

to BE with

whatever is happening as it happens
right here,
right now
so that we can then choose which direction to move in to
rather than meander aimlessly into that all familiar murky territory.

There are a multitude of practices, or disciplines, methodologies whatever you want to call it, that bring people in to the NOW… yet most of them are directed from the mind, inviting us to separate ourselves from thoughts.

And then the cells shift, they soften our BEing as our nervous systems switch in to the parasympathetic phase for rest and recovery, a space from which we can heal.

Moshe has us approach a similar place
yet he chose movement, and questions as the navigator.
Each question invites us to be with our Selves as we move through space…
like fish in this universal aquarium of electro magnetic energy.

We then have the ability to sense where we are,
and choose our direction by sensing and feeling new or foreign territory...
rather than be driven toward an ever familiar yet very comfortable ‘past’.

Vita, and Asanga I think you’ll both enjoy this one.
