This is one of those classic Feldy lessons where people find them selves in unusual position with a curious expression that shows how unfamiliar it is… and then, the unravelling opens sighs of relief as bodies spring back to “normal” with a fresh sense of bounce and rejuvenation.

One of those “I don’t know what just happened, and I feel amazing” kind of lessons. We’ll definitely be opening spaces between the vertebrae to free up the nervous system, when I asked Grok what benefit this provides it came back with:

“The nervous system thrives when the body is free of strain.
Movements like turning the head, lifting the heels,
and shifting the pelvis forward encourage the spine to lengthen and soften.
This can relieve pressure on the spinal cord and peripheral nerves,
promoting better neural communication and a calmer,
more responsive nervous system.”

I’ve been thinking about humans as huge mycelium networks that connect through “touch” via the nervous system (whether that be non/verbal, physical). Ever since hearing somebody in a documentary mention

“the relationship didn’t last long,
our nervous systems were incompatible.”

I’ve loosely, semi-consciously practiced the art of feeling in to other peoples’ systems - which I’ve found to be a very interesting experiment - I’m convinced humans BEing really do connect this way. Some people are such high stress with constant movement, questions (not listening to the answers), eyes darting around, voices pitched in borderline hysterical tones… then there are those who are more ‘grounded’, those who listen and are clearly attentive to the surroundings.

The contrast in tone is very clearly different.

"When your bones line up well, your muscles don’t have to grip so hard.
That takes pressure off your nerves—like clearing traffic on a busy road.
Your brain and body can talk to each other more easily,
so you feel clearer and more at ease.”

In tonight’s lesson we’ll be making space for our nervous systems to spread through the bones and reach into other environments - if you want.
