Awareness Through Movement #395

as above so below

Tonight’s lesson is all done in standing, and parts of it are imagined.
As I was working through each variation, I kept thinking of a ballet dancer,
long, elegant and willowy, with an internal strength that has the movements look so easy and mesmerisingly graceful.

This way of moving is available to all of us, particularly in the privacy of our living rooms (or where ever you choose to do it), with nobody watching - although, yes, you can also move as if every body is watching. The invitation here is to be soft and gentle with yourself - particularly if the internal dialogue gets really loud and starts squawking.. notice that for what it is.. the mind, doing its thing.

Move *WITH* your body despite that noise.

Grok has a beautiful summary for tonight:

“This lesson is a spiral dance
—small, soft moves that build into something bigger:
a body that knows itself, a self that feels at home.
Participate with curiosity,
rather than abiding by what you might hear as rules,

and feel your Self light up as you move.”
ALWAYS MOVE WITHIN YOUR RANGE OF COMFORT,
PAIN IS AN ALARM TO *STOP*.

We can talk more about this at the end!!
