From Marianne:

“In this lesson Moshe specifies that the hand hold the foot with “all the fingers and thumb together…”

Here you can see what Moshe means by means by “thumb together” and perhaps, this distinction could even spark your curiosity as to why he is so specific. Explore these two ways for yourself, hold something and move your arms, FEEL the differences.

From the lesson Moshe continues:
“also place the thumb form below..
so that all the fingers below the sole of the foot,
in the arch.
In this position, bring the leg closer.
Do you see the difference?
Like this, it brings it closer and much better”

Marianne adds:
“If you would like to explore this slowly and in more detail,
I have included a 10 minute mini lesson
“exploring hand holding foot with fingers and thumb together”

I found this particular lesson ‘Leg backward’
delightful…

it involves holding the foot with the hand…
one leg at time turned outward..
then inward…
and progresses to rolling from lying to sitting holding the foot.

And for those who feel able to safely explore a more advanced position,
you might want to explore lying on the back with both knees turned inward..
each hand holding its own foot.

PLEASE RESPECT YOUR COMFORT.
Do only the parts of the movements that are truly comfortable for you.

Posted with love,
Marianne.
