Marianne writes:

“I found this a lovely, quiet meditation style lesson…

It continues the primary image - also known as 5 lines, or the stick figure theme.

I heard The wisdom and beauty of Moshe’s words shining through the entire lesson…

for example:

…In this manner try to pay attention to the sacrum…
to whether it is possible to sense the entire length of the back
from the sacrum to the head.
It has a known length.
It is possible to sense it all.
You will see that this is one of the most opaque places of the back…
To the degree that it joins the general image that a person senses of himself,
it improves to the same degree.

.. this is not for exercise.
Do not do anything that is difficult,
do this simple movement in a simple manner…easily comfortable.

… once again, renew those general lines of this image-the length
from the sacrum until the head.

The same places you just watched
while moving-the length and direction of the arms,
the length o the shoulders,
the direction of the arms,
the width of the hip joints in the pelvis,
the direction of the legs.”

Moshe Feldenkrais

I remember when I first did this series I felt guided by the image of a starfish.

Please enjoy this beautiful lesson.

Marianne.”
