And again, a standing lesson to learn about balance… with some hopping.

“We are learning to balance through movements of the head. It is only in situations of danger that the arms need to help.”

“It is important that you organise your Self such that there is clear internal security before arriving at the feeling that you are supported in the spine,
in the breathing,
in the jaw,
in the neck,
and in the hip joint.
Lift and lower the left leg.
When there is not any strain in the leg that is lifted,
and none in the hands,
none in the lips,
none in the eyes,
and none in the tongue;

only then is it possible to begin to let go of the leg.”

For me, this is a lesson that will be a completely different experience every time I visit it. I remember the first time, simply struggling to balance and not really hearing any of the tips that were given - if there were any that is. Each practitioner brings to these lessons their own experience, now, in hearing Moshe’s words, the lesson ‘lands’ for me differently. Most probably because now I’m ready to hear what’s being said rather than being distracted by the noise between my ears.

Regardless of where you are at, the feeling at the end of this lesson can be worth the time - especially if you like to go for walks along the beach, in the park, with the dog, or anywhere that you can softly, safely, gently bring your awareness to how you shift your weight over one leg and then over the other… and then the other.. and on and on.

I’m looking forward to catching up with you to hear how you’ve been going with these lessons. See you tonight… same bat time, same bat place…
