Rather than a ReAction, I’m calling what I’m thinking as a “chain response” even though it doesn’t really sound like anything exciting. In previous lessons we have done something similar to what is being asked of us tonight, that being to feel through the skeletal system and sensing the connection between the hand/knee which pulls the thigh… into the pelvis which connects with the spine, through in the ribs, and the neck… and then lastly… to the skull.
That’s what I’m calling a ‘response’ rather than a ReAction because we really don’t want to reACTivate any old habits, instead we’ll be seeking a response from one bone in to the next.
Imagine the patella talking to the femur…
“hey mate, knock knock… can you feel me?
Hey, wake up, I’m right next to you and I’m moving now…
you’re supposed to move to.. what happens if you rotate a little bit,
then you can let the hip know we’re moving right now,
and that will wake the spine up and we can lift up that heavy head….
instead of it always leading the way,
we can pull our weight and give it a rest…
Sssshhh… don’t tell the skull the plan though…
let it stay on the ground until the cervical spine nudges it.
THEN we will have created a new pathway.
I don’t know about you…
I’m really tired of the way she’s been forcing us to connect.
Let her feel what we can do when she stops interfering.”
Vita, Asanga, this one will be good for you both :)
