As you have experienced, this week we seem to have broken out of the “series” mode with a varied collection of really different lessons… and tonight is no exception. Tonight, we’ll be rolling and lifting, exploring ways to connect with the muscles and bones that keep us upright. By connecting with them we can interrupt the trajectory of what is commonly seen in elderly people who have neglected to maintain their physical health…

When the weight of the head becomes a burden.

When the lower back muscles, ligaments, cartilage, fascia.. and bones are flexible, when they are able to move the way they were designed, THEN the head has very little to do other than sit atop the smaller, delicate bones and muscles of the neck and… float.

Imagine what would do for… the chest.. to open up, our organs.. to function, the lungs… to do their job. The implications of neglecting these muscles and bones are far greater than a visual roundness, if we fail to use them, move them, it can affect the quality of our life.

Do what you feel comfortable with, take rests whenever you feel is necessary.. and BREATHE!
