Awareness Through Movement #224
Legs pushing the pelvis and rocking the back – WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
There won’t be a Zoom lesson tonight - I’m not feeling well, have a throat thing going on as you will probably hear in the recording which is at the bottom of this page. I’m in bed with my hot water bottles packed on either side, keeping my self warm to get rid of this thing!!
Neurodiversity is a word that is used quite freely in today’s world, and I think the Feldenkrais Method is one way to fully comprehend its meaning.
When we add colour to our brain, put some spark into the wiring and bring it to life through movements and patterns that nurture us.
This particular pattern from tonight’s lesson is unusual in that it can be like getting a really deep massage. All depending on HOW it’s approached. I liken it to a dog or a cat getting a really good back rub when they’re lying paws up to the ceiling wiggling left and right… and there’s a visible difference between the loose skin and the bones they’re getting in to.
Then when they get up there’s usually a shake or a stretch to fit the skin back on to the frame… hhhmmm.. maybe we’ll finish with a shake tonight :)
