I will fix Asanga's 'x' into a tick sometime this week.

With part 2 Moshe very patiently explains through a series of movements to have us soak up more of his wisdom:

“The whole essence is to do this process consciously” ← THIS
”To the extent that you spoil the contrast that I want to create by turning the attention to one place, to the same degree the usefulness becomes nil.
If, at your age, it has not improved until today,
it means that the usual processes — those things done for other reasons than awareness and consciousness and symmetrically — do not work.
The proof is that until today, it is not good.
So, for a moment, allow a person to do what is wanted.
Do not do other movements.
By that you are “dumbing” the contrast… nothing of it will stay in your awareness and the process will continue the same as it has been to date.
Without knowledge there isn’t better ability.”

*This is yet another (short) series where Moshe invites us to get to know our lungs, their size, ability, whereabouts and capabilities.. through a gentle investigation. In a very Feldenkrais fashion we continue to breathe into and expand the areas of our chest to feeeeeel and sense where they are and how they work. He’s teaching us to take the reigns of our bodies and learn for ourselves the whereabouts and function of this thing called a human body that we live in. There are no xrays to prove whether we are right or wrong with our discoveries, these investigations into our inner space are left for US to work out the answers, take ownership…

… and those answers very likely will not happen immediately, first time, in an instant. Can you imagine getting on a bike and being able to ride from the VERY FIRST attempt??? Or learning a trade and becoming a master after 45 minutes??

We are NOT EXPECTED to ‘get’ these lessons immediately either, they are purely a guide into the ways our bodies work. With practice, slowly slowly, over time these visuals inside us become more real. Pat yourself on the back… very few people even KNOW where there lungs are, let alone how they work, at least we are making the time to learn a little more than the average Joe. So please, BE PATIENT with your Self, take your time and learn at your own pace, so that the learnings stick, as (Moshe proposes) our lungs can to our inner cavities… like glue.

Some imagery that might assist you with what these lessons are pointing to. The trachea/bronchi:

note there are three cavities on the right, two on the left, to make it clearer:

and tonight he also mentions lordosis… for those who are unaware, it looks something like this:

Is lumbar lordosis a normal condition, or is it a pathology? - Quora

Bonus material!

After our brief discussion on the lecture last night, a TED talk came to mind. When we were talking about breathing and losing weight I remembered a talk about the weight of that gas we breathe out - carbon dioxide - which I learned is heavier than the oxygen what we breathe in. Therefore, breathing does have something to do with losing weight as Moshe pointed out in the lecture (you can always return to that post and read it for yourself).

“The whole essence is to do this process consciously” ← THIS

Ruben Meerman explains through a “stoichometric approach”, the process of breathing… which is as we know, what the lungs assist us with. Knowing how our lungs work, could, might, maybe will… assist us with the process we do +/- 22,000 times a day…

Therefore I thought the following information could be appropriate for this ‘Gluing of the Lungs’ series:

We know Moshe was ahead of his time, hearing what Ruben says has me wonder if us accessing a larger proportion of what our lungs offer us can assist humans regulate our weight. People who listened to John Sharkey’s discussions might hear that he too was pointing in the same direction. For me, the more people pointing in that direction means they’re seeing, hearing, learning, discovering something that might be true for humans to meet more of our potential.

See you tonight :)
