She writes:

“PLEASE NOTE: The last section of this lesson requires enough space for you to roll with arms and legs extended.

My theme during this lesson was - how can I soften? … let me count the ways.
I found the more I could soften, the more enjoyable the lesson became.

Examples:

  1. Have the intention to lengthen tailbone downwards towards feet-notice if/when/where you sense interference.

  2. Look at the circles-opposite eye looks in direction of opposite big toe. eg right eye looks towards left big toe and left eye looks towards right big toe.

  3. Soften the spine

  4. Sense the entire light of the spine form top of head to tailbone

  5. Position the chin “neutral”-neither tucked in or jutted forward and then sense the front of the vertebra and support of the vertebral bodies.
    (reference AY #129 Pecking Movement)

  6. Do in imagination

  7. Hands let go of leg

  8. Massage leg with hands

  9. Visualize extendible arms like Inspector Gadget…

I am curious to find out what strategies can you discover to soften?

  1. ?

  2. ?

  3. ?

Thank you,
Marianne”
