I think this lesson is pure trickery, and I give it 10/10 for its brilliance.

The Connection Between Breathing and the Pelvic Floor - Energize Health - Physiotherapy and Chiropractic Clinic in Calgary

This image might give you a good visual for when you enter the lesson. Notice how the diaphragm moves quite the distance up and down, like a mini trampoline. Although it’s not mentioned, the pelvic floor is also a diaphragm and it too is moving with the breath.

As you can see by the title, there’s a blend of two lessons we’ve been practicing, you could call it a crescendo as the two come together. As is with every lesson, remember it’s not so much about the movement, these lessons are all for us learning HOW we move, so that we have true choice in the ways that are available. When we pay attention to the tiny details of each movement, that’s how awareness is developed… through the movement.

There will be a lot of practice with this one, be gentle with yourself… do what you feel comfortable with… if you’re satisfied with focussing on the breathing, do that and imagine yourself doing the movements. Simply preparing your body to do them is enough.

Enjoy becoming more aware of your Self, as you move.
