yes, you’ll need a chair for this lesson. Vita and Asanga, it might be a little to challenging for your ribs and sternum. You are welcome to go really lightly and explore the movements in your imagination(s).

As the title says, Moshe has us twisting and bending in quite unusual positions for this lesson, so the rests could leave you feeling a little… twisted. Knowing it’s only temporary could provide some relief… and then perhaps these movements could cause wonder if/when one side is a little too familiar compared to the other.

“Am I usually this twisted?”

Is the thought that came to me, with a smile.

Acknowledging these biases has me explore different ways to bring balance to the twists, “if I can go one way I must be able to go the other…” I think to myself during the lesson. “What am I doing on this side that I’m not doing on the other… oh the ribs don’t open on that side quite the same, and what am I doing with my sit bones… oh, and that one lifts on this side whereas I press on the other side… and so it goes on”

Even now as I type this :)

And then I breathe, to flood my body with oxygen and get out of my head…

“aaahhh… that’s better”.

Enjoy learning more about your Self tonight :)
