AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT 136
Looking at the back while sitting – PAYING ATTENTION - Vita and Asanga I think you'll both really like this one!
“You see, when it is said that it is possible to sit and be engaged with observation eight hours a day, it is not a big deal. The time passes so fast that you don't feel it passes at all. That is one of the advantages it has. It enables one to remove oneself and stop the contact between memory, life outside, and daily problems. It stops them in an absolute way. Here, lies the repose.”
Today we’ll be exploring the spine as we continue in out ongoing, never ending life altering exploration of the human bodies we live in. In this lesson we’ll be getting to know each vertebrae, their shape and size… with both our touch and the imagination, to compare the difference between these two realities.
The process reminds me of Dr Joe Dispenza, a chiropractor who, after a cycling accident (involving a car) he refused surgery that was strongly recommended by 3 doctors, and in its stead chose to:
“… visualize each vertebrae to heal and reconstruct his spine in his mind. In just ten and a half weeks, Dr. Joe was back on his feet, and in twelve weeks, he was training again and back at work at his chiropractic clinic. He fully healed himself with just his mind...”
Whenever these lessons crop up I think this is what we’re doing, we’re healing ourselves through the parasympathetic nervous system by connecting with our inner Self which is rarely, if ever, given any attention.
To assist you with this process, I found a site with a great little video to help us all locate our C7’s in anticipation of this lesson…. as well as assist us learn more about the different parts of each vertebrae. The bones of the spine being the jigsaw that connects all the way through to our limbs, nerves and organs, senses, and Selves… our backbone.
Lesson is below, enjoy learning more about your Self tonight and I’ll see you tomorrow :)
