The hip joint is complex, as Megan and I discussed after last night’s lesson… if we keep using the same muscles to move forward, (sometimes) backward, a little bit up and a little bit down… and the movements we learn get us from A - B then there’s little incentive to want to change anything.
Then, when options are made available and the human body has a taste of something different, when the muscles get to work the way they’re designed.. THEN the question “why don’t I do it this way” crops up.
Circles are a great way to open up these options.
So are balls, I’m starting to give my circles a different dimension to move with infinity… figure 8’s in all the angles I can imagine. I invite people to start experimenting with balls as well as circles… it’s like bringing the Vitruvian Man to life, clocks… forwards, backwards sideways, all the angles!
