It’s quite ingenious how Moshe thought these lessons through so that people can experience an improvement in movements so basic within a short amount of time.
He proves that bigger better faster is merely more of the same insanity.
By unravelling HOW a movement is done, and enhancing small elements one increment at a time… on a different trajectory… these subtle changes make a huge improvement on the whole with a lot more enjoyment - even though it may not seem like it at the time.
Constraints is another ‘secret’ of Feldenkrais, to move only within a certain parameter to know what is possible within that tiny area… and THEN expand the movement to enlarge that same trajectory. I personally don’t know of any other method that works this way… tai chi and gigong do something similar, yet different.
